A par do fenómeno das "reuniões" de bandas, um outro parece estar em crescendo e que é o das reedições, do qual os Neurosis serão a sua face mais visível neste último par de anos.
Não querendo esmiuçar os possíveis motivos que levam bandas e editoras a enveredarem por este caminho, o facto é que quem pode beneficiar com todo este processo é o público (por um lado, para conhecerem estes projectos/álbuns, por outro, para os fãs/coleccionistas completarem a sua discografia com alguns bónus, mais ou menos pertinentes).
Adiante. Os finlandeses Spiritus Mortis vêem o seu primeiro longa-duração reeditado, através da Firebox Records, trazendo um novo artwork, remasterização dos temas originais aos quais foram adicionados quatro temas inéditos. Filiados na linha do doom metal de linhas mais tradicionais, lançaram este seu trabalho homónimo em 2004, dezassete anos - dezassete!-, após a sua formação e quase uma dezena de demos, o que demonstra uma clara perseverança da banda de Alavus e crer no seu som e temas; sim, porque ao longo dos, então, catorze temas podíamos ouvir uma mão cheia de boas malhas, com eventuais aproximações ao hard rock e alguns apontamentos mais bluesy, conferindo-lhe frescura e dinâmica, num género onde as inovações não são o pão nosso de cada dia. Toda esta mescla trouxe mais-valia a este trabalho. "Rise From Hell", "Vow To The Sun" ou "Forever", são alguns dos temas que marcam a sonoridade da banda e demonstram a qualidade que ela tem e apresenta (13.5/20).
Quanto às novidades: foram adicionados quatro temas inéditos, que totalizam cerca de uma vintena de minutos, que em pouco ou nada diferem do alinhamento original. Poderíamos pensar em outtakes, temas descartados pela fraca qualidade, mas não, a fasquia mantém-se inalterada, sem surgir aquele sentimento de estarmos perante uma série de fillers e que, certamente, agradarão aos apreciadores do género. Para os outros, são vinte minutos de bom doom metal que lhes poderá passar ao lado. (14/20)

Not wanting to go into the possible reasons that bands and labels to take this path, the fact is that anyone who can benefit from this process is the public (on the one hand, to discover these projects/albums, second, for the fans/collectors complete their discography with some bonus, more or less relevant).
Ahead. The Finns Spiritus Mortis see their first long full length reissued by Firebox Records, bringing a new artwork, remastered from original songs to which were added four unreleased songs. Affiliated to the line of doom metal in more traditional lines, launched this work in 2004 titled, seventeen years - seventeen! - after their formation and almost a dozen demos, which shows a clear band's perseverance Alavus and believe in its sound and themes, yes, because over then fourteen subjects we could hear a handful of good songs with possible approaches to hard rock and some more bluesy notes, giving it fresh and dynamic, in a genre where the innovations do not are our “bread each day”.
The whole mix has added value to this work. "Rise From Hell," "Vow To The Sun" or "Forever", are some of the themes that mark the band's sound and demonstrate the quality and features it has (13.5/20).
Regarding news: we added four unreleased songs, totaling about a twenty minutes, nothing different from the original alignment. We could think of outtakes, discarded by the poor quality issues, but no, the slab remains unchanged, that arise without feeling that we are facing a series of fillers and that certainly will appeal to fans of the genre. For others, are good twenty minutes of doom metal that can pass them along. (14/20)
